EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (Part-Time)

hourly Pay: DOE

Role Summary

Provides dependable administrative, business, and personal support to the owner of AK Wildflour. This position assists with daily communications, scheduling, organization, errands, and light household tasks to help business and personal operations run smoothly. Much of the work will take place in the owner’s home, so professionalism, discretion, and comfort working around a small dog are essential.

Core Responsibilities

Answer and organize business emails, phone calls, messages, and routine inquiries.
Assist with scheduling, appointments, reminders, follow-ups, and calendar management.
Maintain organized digital and physical files, records, receipts, and business documents.
Help coordinate vendors, contractors, events, deliveries, purchases, and other business needs.
Complete research, data entry, supply ordering, and other administrative assignments.
Run occasional local errands and pick up supplies, food, mail, or business materials.
Provide limited personal assistance, such as warming prepared food, receiving deliveries, or completing very light household tidying.
Assist with the care and supervision of Bandit, the owner’s small dog, when needed.
Maintain confidentiality regarding business operations, finances, communications, and personal matters.
Complete assigned checklists and adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.

Qualifications

Administrative, executive assistant, office, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable answering professional emails and phone calls.
Organized, dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Comfortable working in a private home and around a small dog.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT (FULL-Time HOURS)

Role Summary

Provides dependable day-to-day kitchen support for AK Wildflour’s bakery operations. This position works closely with the owner and bakery team to assist with food preparation, baking production, cleaning, organization stocking, and maintaining an efficient back-of-house workflow. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep production moving smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

Assist with daily bakery and food production according to recipes, procedures, and production schedules.
Prepare ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, portioning, chopping, and other basic preparation tasks.
Assist with the production of breads, pastries, desserts, savory items, fillings, sauces, and other menu items.
Assist with baking, cooling, portioning, packaging, labeling, and storing finished products.
Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
Wash dishes, equipment, utensils, sheet pans, containers, and other kitchen tools as needed.
Clean and sanitize counters, worktables, sinks, floors, equipment, storage areas, and other back-of-house spaces.
Restock ingredients, packaging, cleaning supplies, and production materials throughout the day.
Receive and properly store food, ingredients, supplies, and deliveries.
Assist with inventory organization, rotation, labeling, and proper food storage using FIFO practices.
Follow recipes, production sheets, checklists, portion standards, and instructions accurately.
Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, temperature-control, and cross-contamination procedures.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Help maintain an organized refrigerators, freezers, dry-storage, and production environment.
